Well here it is... I finished it last night and blasted down the driveway to try it out. I am thinking the useless e-brake cable needs to go. Still working on the correct length cable. This cost me $50.00 after collecting the remaining goodies.... Thanks to Mainetriker for the trade on the gearbox! :w00t:

Is that one of those brackets I made ( yeah, poor memory ) ???

I don't think I have ever saw a 200x with a speedo mounted up before
(again ,,, every day is a new day with a poor memory :) )

What top speed did you on it register 1DP ???

NICE! That cable doesn't look to bad... but didn't you get a cable with that 250es kit? That would be about the right lenth....

Speedo was an e-bay find. Cable was bought at my local Honda dealer. The gear box was a trade item, and the clamp was borrowed from a nos Hondaline tripmeter kit. Jes I have not got the speedo past 35mph yet. I am going to see what top speed I get this weekend. I think the cable looks pretty good and would look better if I had the loop for the fender like yours mainetriker....Oh well I still like it........

Top Speed was 48-49 mph. The rear tires are 20's and I could probably get a few more mph with the factory donuts on. Of course with my younger brother on who weighs 160lbs it might do 55. It seems the older I get the bigger I get.

Now of course we have to calculate for the approximitly (sp?) 7% difference in the cablibration of the gearboxs...

The gearbox you're is using is calibrated for a 22" tire (I think) so the speed displayed will be less than what your actually doing... by about 7%.

49mph/.93 = 52.688 mph

Man, that's still slow though

What gearbox you have on there??? A 110/185/200 one?? I'm about 99% sure the 2 Left handed gearboxes I have "loose" are for a 23½" tire.

Hey Maine_triker wouldnt the speedo still read correctly as its taking the reading off the front wheel not the rear wheels ;) thats if the front is stock size tho

You misunderstood, it's the gearbox that's calibrated for a 22" tire, and a 200x front tire is 23.5".

Bruce: yes that is a 110/185/200 gearbox.

Slow or not I think its pretty good with a 6'5" 270 lb rider. I know now why the 86-87 are the most sought after, damn that 6th gear would be nice.
