Be sure to buy the right one. The 87 starter is different to the the 85-86 reds.
It is what is called the long shaft starter.

I bought a 1987 model awhile back for parts just a bottom end and a rear axle,more or less a rolling chassi. but it does have a starter on it....$60.00 to your door....hit me back...
