I was reading some old posts, that I remembered from when I first joined, about drilling holes in your side case of a 90, 110, 125, and 200x motors. Is there anyway an SX can be drilled out to put an oil cooler in them as well?

Yes it can be done. You would do it basically the same way as the 90-110, 185-200, ect.

Oil coolers are for 4 strokes, not 2 strokes. A oil cooler on a 250r wouldn't work. Even if you did get it hooked up you would do all the work for nothing, you won't gain a thing. On a 4 stroke the oil passes by the cylinder and goes into the head and them back down tot he bottom end. The heat from the cylinder / head is what makes the oil so hot. On a 2 stroke you don't have this problem.

Could you tap into the lines going into the oil filter on the SX and re-rout it to a cooler ? would be easier than drilling the case cover !!!
