Can you rig a key starter like off a 250sx or any machine to a 3wheeler that doesn't have it? i have a 1983 185s and if anybody wanted it all they got to do is jump on it and start it. Can i rig something that needs a key to work to the kill switch so it is on kill until there is a key in it? just curious, thanks

yes...you can...run the wires that go to to kill switch on the handle bars to it and mount it...but to make it look nice you will probably have to fab up a dash for it to go in

are there any simple cheap key ignitions that i could rig it with or what would be the best to use?

Remember.... A kill switch "kills" by making connection to ground.... NOT by making an open circuit. ;) I tried to wire the motorcycle switch on my custom 350X dash, and you actually have to think about it backwards.

350x, r * saying that with the ignition installed that * didn't need the key to start it? as in when * turned the key on, than the wires were grounded, or what?

If you wire it to the kill switch then when the key is off the trike will be on, and when the key is on the trike will be off. You could still use a key switch but I would run it inline with the ignition coil wire.
