View Full Version : Will '86 200x rear hubs fit an '84

One of my hubs makes one of my rear wheels wobble a little. I can get a rear hub from an '86 200x but I have an '84 and was just wondering if they are the same or not. Thanks.

They are not the same. The 86 200x has a 1 1/2 -2" off set on the hubs ( compared to the 83-85 ).

When you say they are offset are you saying that the offset makes the total width of the rear wider then? Even if they aren't exactly the same...will they still work on an 84 (splines/rim compatability)?

Yes, the splines are the same. Get 2 that match.

The splines are the same, how ever the studs on the 86 hubs are bigger. To use the 86 hubs you may need to modify the rims / hubs.
