theres an 82 250r in my local paper "w/300 kit and custom pipe all complete" for $150.00
would i be able to use this motor and pipe on my 83 250r? are any other parts interchangeable. :Bounce

300R kit YES.... pipe.... NO

im pritty sure the exhaust system changed in 83 so you wouldnt be able to use that part, unless you did some more sustomizing, the motor should bolt right in.

I thought the shifter shaft was a different length between years or does that not matter?

willcamach - make sure the 300 kit is good, new pistons and rings can get very pricey.

The complete motor will NOT bolt right in. The 81-82 has a longer shifter shaft and will hit the frame on the 83-84R

ugh guess i will pass on that guy says needs new piston and rings sounds like a decent trike i would buy if i didnt already have the 83. what do rings and a piston go for $$$. are they even available?

just did my top end on my 84 250r last year, i know a good place off of kramer and the 91 in anaheim

yeah but you could always sell it for more, hell id buy it anyways!
