Where's a good place on the web to get tires for my 85' 350x? I wanted razr's or holeshots in the rear and something good for the front, but I guess I would need new rims? Stock front is 23.5X8-11 and rear is 22X10-9

i would drop the back to 20X11-9 unless you do alot of wide open rideing. you dont need new rims you can switch the just the tiers or you can just get new rims also and swich everyting and have some spares

20 inch shredder XC's (the six ply version of the shredder RA) and a Kenda front max up front. Hands down, the front max is the ultimate trike tire for any conditions.

Would the 20X11-9 fit on the 10-9? I wanted to drop to 20, but wasn't sure if the 11 would work

Simply put, no. The first number(20, 21, etc) doesn't matter, but the last two(ie: 11-9) have to be the same for tires to fit. For example you could have a tire/rim with a 22x11-9, and you want to put a 20x11-9, that would work, but if you wanted to put a 20x10-9 tire on it, it wouldn't work. That's todays school lesson.

ok , 22-11-9 22 is diameter ,11 is width, 9 is wheel size , so if you go to 20-11-9 you will lose a little diameter which is top speed . but a lower profile tire will give you a little more stability and a little less ground clearance, the width isn't so critical; as the diameter is , for gearing, i am running 20-11-9's on my 350x which has the stock wheels and love them i just went to a one tooth larger countershaft sprocket,,,,, to make up for the loss in diameter, on your stock wheels you can run several different sizes as long as the wheel size is the same ,, 22-12-9,,,,22-11-9 ,,,,,,,,,,,22-10-9 ,,20-11-9 ,,,20-10-9,,,,, will all work just fine

If atv tires are anything like car tires, then yes they would work. But since the sidewall has a low profile I'm not sure exactly how the tread would react, but I'm absolutely positive you can mount and ride on wider tires mounted on the same rims.

if the rims is narrower than the tire is ment for it will work they will buldge out a little bit but they will work and it will give you more traction
a 20X11-9 will fit on a 10-9 rim the tire has to be wider than the rim

Sorry for the mis-information....I'm still learning there's MUCH difference between auto mechanics and ATV mechanics...heh...

The front max is definitly the best tire.I went with the 20x10x9(stock 250r)tires and they work great.besides having to go 1 up on the front sprocket,u have to drop the rear sprocket a couple of gears also.Got razrs on my x too.
