I am about to build 350x #5. I am thinking about putting a 300ex motor in this one. The reason being, I seem to be getting too old to kick one, lol. Has anybody ever done this? What all changes have to be made to frame and engine? I want to know before I go to the trouble of building the 300ex motor.

i say get the goki electric starter system. This wont affect performance or anything and should be easier than swapping in a different motor.

i've seen 300ex's in 350x's before, so the motor's definitely not too big. actually the 350x is taller, the motor mounts are all in the same place on both, just the widths are different on the upper rear and lower front mounts. you'd need a spacer for the rear mount and to shorten the front spacers. a 330 kit and cam will really wake up the 300ex.
