I live in Ontario Canada, and I cant find insurance anywhere for my 85 250 big red. :( Actually, I did find one place, but it was $1350 for the year PLPD only. I was essentially told that when it comes to insurance, trikes are :banned: . What i'm wondering is if/where and for how much you guys found insurance. Preferably in Ontario. Phone numbers for insurance would be great.

I deal with "The Cooperators" here in Alberta. $106 a year. Not sure if they are in Ontario or not, but you could check them out in the phone book or on line.

I called every insurance place in the yellow pages for my SX, best price of the very few that would even give me a quote was something like 450 $ in NewBrunswick

Wow, I would never pay 2000 a year for sure. I'll stick with the $52 a year. Gotta love public insurance!
Well, I get no theft, fire, or crash insurance, just $250K liability.
But thats all i need to drive it legally in the ditches and cross the highways.

I wish i could get public insurance in Ont. I would use it on my car too... I paid $250 for the POS '91 Tempo and I pay $215/month for insurance (bare minimum coverage). The Bike I paid $750 for and I started the thread by griping about the $1350/year (bare minimum) they want to insure it. The real kicker is, if it was a 1985 TRX 250, all they would want is $350. Expensive, but also $1000 cheaper. I was thinking of strapping a spare tire and rim to the front rack and calling it a 4wheeler, 2 wheels on the front and 2 on the back, what more can they ask? On the topic of insurance I picked up a flyer today for PC insurance, seems like a good deal for car and house insurance, but I havent really looked into it that much www.pcinsurance.ca if anybody wants to check it out.
anyway, thats my big insurance gripe for the day, blood sucking vampires.
