if plug looks fine what you need to do is ground spark plug to engine case use something insulated pliers/screwdriver and turn over the engine and you should see a bluespark if not it could be a few things if you want to do the work yourself I suggest first to get a repair manual I think Clymer has one cost about $40.00 give or take and is well worth the investment they have a trouble shooting guide and it helped me with my 200m. examples of what the problem could be (ignition coil, exciter coil, cdi unit, pulse generator....) some people on this site are very knowledgable and can help alot, but having the book will help you understand betterand is great for quick referance.

you will need a deepwell socket or sparkplug wrench.

Is this your first bike, ever? Check all the stupid stuff first, safety kill switches, fuel switch that sorta stuff. After that move on to spark. And big red is right there is a Clymer book for the 200, I believe it actually covers everything from the 110-200, I bought it by accident when i got my 250ES

Make sure everything is plugged in behind the headlight. If you need to know where everything goes take a pic and we will help.

as for the spark plug its on the right side on the upper portion of the motor (it has a red or black boot covering most of it. remove this bot and take a deep well socket and just unscrew it. put the boot back on and tough the bottom of the plug to the frame and crank it over. It will spark, so if you do this let us know what color it is.

When I got my 200x it had been sitting outside and unused for three or four years. I took it to a shop and they cleaned the tank, fuel lines, and carb. Then they replaced the plug. Right after I got it back from the shop the cdi module went out. After I replaced the cdi it has been running fine. I hope you get it running without to much trouble and welcome to the group.
