My uncle has a 84 200s that he bought new in 84. Ive been bugging him forever bout selling it to me. We he finally acted intersted so im wondering what to offer. Everything is original possibly even the tires but not shure. It hasnt been rode very much at all in the last 8-10 years. Plastics are still good alittle fadded and a few scratches as normal. No rust in the tank at all. Exhaust is rusted but thats about it. headlight and taillight work. But it never wants to start, seeing as its a recoil starter. We can get it started by pullling it with another machine and it kinda spits and sputters for a min, but then runs great. And then * can pull start it, but after it sets for a few days it wont start again. What should i offer?

I paid $350 for mine bought it from the original owner about 2 months ago. I was told I did good for that price. Starts first pull. decent plastic, since it's a family member offer yard work, paint the house, guilt him into giving it to you! thats what families for. Jim

I have seen nice 200's go from $500 right up to 900 or so if they are really nice but since it is your Uncle offer him 400 or so. Don't leave your Uncle see this though
 Have a few of us PM you and we will all state between 350 and 400 and you can then print them and show to your Uncle!! :naughty:
Most likely you have a jet clogged and there might be crude in the inline fuel filter also. Check the flow of gas 1st on reserve and normal to see if it comes out at a good rate.

Good idea on the carb. I bought my first Honda 200 for 300.00 and it was in good all around shape. Just rebuild the carb and fine tune the timing if you get it. I wish you luck and hope you are able to buy it from him. If he doesn't sell it keep right on him until he does. That how I got my 200x's. The guy I bought them from never wanted to sell them until I rode to his house on a cheap quad I rebuilt and he gave in and traded me 3 200x's for one quad!!!!

While we are talking value of a trike, what would you pay for this one? I have gone over everything mechanical on it and it has compression #'s like a new one. I have sold it to a memeber on here, that's if he comes up with the $$.
Only thing not on is the grab bar and taillight.

Hell, I'd give 500, for sure. Maybe more if I rode it, which I always do, and that is what really hooks me!!!! Then I gotta have it!! :naughty: :naughty:
That would go for 500 or 600 around here.

Well I sold it for 700 and put a heck of a lot of time into it, making sure everything was right. You guys know all too well how quick you can dump a 100 or 2 into these so I thought the guy got a great deal.
The rear tires are brand new and the front has about 75% on. Tank was patched in back lower corners on both sides but not by me.
The guy paints just a few things on it and he'll have one heck of a nice 185S.
Be great if he can find new rear graphics for it also.
Every thing was quite detailed on it. Few examples below.
My atc200 was similear to that huffa, it was all OEM freakin mint still had the tits on the end of the tires and i payed 650$ CND for it...500 ish USD at the time i think...

I got my 200x and a Yamaha ytm200 from a co-worker. I tilled her garden twice and mowed her lawn all summer and I'm 49. I gave the yamaha to a friend because I could not afford to pay to have both running. My friend was supposed to get the Yahaha running and go riding with me. So far, he's been too busy between work and school.
