This tires are probably a topic that has been beaten to snot, but I'm new to the site, and fairly new to trikes in general, but what would be the best tire combo for my '85 250 big red? I ride mostly in mud or on wet dirt/clay. I'm currently running a tirf tamer up front, and wooly boogers on the back, but i'd prefer something a little more aggressive. I know the ITP mudlites are pretty good on those 4 wheeled contraptions, but i'm just not sure how the substantially lighter trike would take them.

You need something more aggressive than Woolies? You must have a beefy trike. But, on to the tires...

If you're really that desperate to get "trakshun", I would say Titan 489 XT's, or Super Swampers. Yes, you read that right. TSL makes ATV tires, and they look almost like scaled down Boggers. Quite nice, I've driven a quad with those on it. Plenty of traction. You could get some ITP 589 M/S tires, those are pretty good too. Outlaws, Gators and Mudlites are pretty good too, especially in the XT version. That's about all I can think of now.

I am running a set of 25x13x9 Vampires on the back of my 86 Big Red and I really like them.

Yep, the TSL Vampires are the ultimate mud/snow tire IMO. The lugs are at least twice as tall as the TSL Super Swampers. Much more aggressive tread pattern, & a bit taller too. (more ground clearance)
I run both types on different trikes & the Vamps will go anywhere.
They are stiff & tough so the ride is rough. But, they last forever.
