clutch problem on 200x

the clutch lever that comes out of the motor seems awfully easy to move on my 200x...i was wondering if thats just the play in it or if thats the clutch springs shot...i havnt taken it apart being i just got it today for 100bux(pics soon) but i was just wondering what the clutch is like for other 200x owners

There is play in that arm to a point. Its hard to explain but after the pertch gets perpendicular to the motor or a little before, (or parrallel to the foot pegs) then it should get hard, Too hard to move by hand. This is for a '83-85 200x, I have no idea where it gets hard on a '86 200x.
