View Full Version : Cam Chain Help

I pulled the cam out and swapped it with a xr200 and I cant get the cam chain back on the cam sprocket I usually have no problem with it but it seems like the chain is being tensed by something?...The engine is apart so I want to finish it this weekend as soon as I can Im going to work on it again 2morow till I can get it on...

Right behind the top end on the bottom end is a bolt take it out. You should see a black thing, push it down with a screw driver this is how you take tension off your timing chain. Also when you put your cam back in make sure the little pin on your cam bearing is in the hole on the head. If you don't you have big problems. If you need help with timing let me know., Wes

I push down on it and nothing happens it has no affect on the chain at all...Its like the chain isnt long enough but it has to be?...All help or ideas welcome...THanks

Nevermind I figured it out...Thanks for the help...I dont know what it is was, it kind of divided the cam chain in the bottom end?
