Hi
It was a bit quiet in work on Sunday so I thought I,d knock up a set of wheel spacers for my 250R ,,What do you think? They are made out of 303 stainless steel ,they are 2" wide

They look sweet to me. Nice job. You may want to secure the wheel studs a little better.

No I repair injection mould and blowmould tools for the company I work for plus any trike stuff I can fit in .The only thing that I would like to have in the shop is a tig welder and that would be my baby ,,but my boss does,nt think we need one !! I spent £5000 last year getting things welded alone !!!!

thats some nice work there. i wouldn't be to worried about those studs falling off though. there not gonna go anywhere once you have the wheel tight!

i welded in the studs on the spacers i have on my bike. but i use an oxy/acetyline torch and a feed wire to weld, i never liked using tig too much. i dont know of too many people around here who still use oxy/acetaline but im a firm believer. i could never get all the settings right on my tig, so i switched to the tanks. never regreted it.

Not true! The pressure from the lug nuts alone are not nearly enough the keep the wheel in place, most likely you will wollow out the wheels and the spacers also. BTW you would actually classify those as adapters rather than spacers. Spacers are normally just plates that fit over your existing studs so you still utilize the factory studs, adaptors bolt to the stock hub studs and have thier own set of studs to bolt the wheel to. Spacers you can buy on the cheap but adaptors are pretty expensive by comparision.
