Would a DG silencer be an upgrade over the stock one? I was told that the stock pipe is a good one, but that the spark arrester is junk. Is that true? I think Dennis Kirk sells the DG for $89. Is there any other brand that would be better?
I would like to know because the guy made it sound like there would be a world of difference.
Thanks

I know in this site (Link (http://www.quadpit.com/mags/1985/3-4w-action/yam-wrench-report-01.htm)) it says chuck the stock for a Answer. I have answer on mine and cant tell the difference but I have never rode anything but. I dont think it would make a world of a difference like the guy said. But it would make it sound more like a banshee with a more of a "ping" sound.

For one thing, its a bit lighter than the stock silencer. Its a bit louder as well. I would actually just go for the whole new pipe/silencer combo. It'll give you a couple of more ponies and it looks nice, especially if you get the chrome plated system (xtreme).
