My friend just bought a 200x. The owner said that it has a fresh rebuilt motor in it bought it won't start. So we decided that it was the stator. Here is the question, when we opened the stator cover oil came out, then we tilt it and all the oil in the engine came out, should oil be in their or not. How do we get the flywheel drum thing off. I don't really think that oil should be in their, but I'm not positive.

If its a 83-85 200x oil there is normal. I'm not sure about later years.Take out the bolt on the fly wheel, then take out the swing arm bolt and thread that into the threads on the fly wheel until it pops off. If you can't get the swing arm out try the front axle... I'm not sure if that is the same size and threads though, it would be worth a shot.

What makes you think his stator is bad?

It's a 1983 200x. We got the flywheel unbolted, we just can't get it off. Because we where playing around with my 110 to get it where the headlight didn't turn on by unpluging the stator wire, but his headlight was burned out, didn't find that out until later. I didn't think that the stator was should be in oil. It's getting no spark.

I'm confused. You should try cleaning connections, changing plug, and useing a test light to see if you can locate and solve the problem. Do you have another stator you can put in it?
