axle issues

Does anyone know if the front axle on an 85 350x has reversed threads? This one is tight!
Also-in taking off the rear axle nuts on the same bile, do you have to use an axle wrench or will any 42mm wrench work? Any help greatly appreciated.

The front axle is normal thread, right hand.
The 42mm wrench will be fine.

If the front axle bolt is that tight I would soak it good with some penetrating fluid, bcause I broke one on a 200x, a little to much pressure used there. :eek:

The bolt rusted and the slide oxidized. Makes for a good bond. Tap the bolt with a hammer on each end as you soak it to get the threads to loosen up. I have removed the threads out of the slide before. They stuck to the bolt. And on top of that the center collar rusts to the bolt along with the bearings.
