well, I went to a salvage place today and spent 5 hrs there just scavaging through the stuff on the shelfs/floor and come across several nice items. 1 was a brand new Honda line fairing/windsheild for a 250R , Still in the bag and a headlight guard for a Tri-Z{one that goes across the front of the lights} and a small and narrow headlight guard for a 250R/250sx{thats what it said on the paper anyways. I will definetly get some pics up tomorrow, it was to late when I got home today.

PS . all these items were brand new/ never installed on a bike!! :w00t: :beer

This is all stuff that I just purchased today for myself not for resale. The fairing is for an 85-86 250R. There is a Tri-Z guard , just like the one I got today, on ebay right now. I don't know how to link the auction, sorry

Honda never made a fairing for the 85-86R.... Errrrrrr,,,,, <ding> ... thanks for playing!

Does it look like this??? True Hondaline Fairing (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4571203602)

I have a dealer Hondaline book and a shelf Hondaline book... there is NOT a Hondaline mounting kit for the water cooled R's. Was there a mounting kit with it? Or just the brackets to put it together? How about the Hondaline Instructions? Should say Application ATC250R, Date October 1981.

In most cases, the Hondaline mounting kit was sold seperately from the Fairing itself. The same fairing was used on 110/125; 185, 200, 200X, and 81-82R, 83-84R. (Not available for the Big Red, watercooled R or 350X)

Guess you don't need any Math schoolin..... just a lil Hondaline schoolin'! :welcome:

I got this one cause it had a mounting kit attached to it... since it had a "1" decal with it, I'm assuming 250R or 200X..... hopefully 81-82R so I won't have to fab up one for my other R!

Oh ATCWithdrawls... here's a scan of the 85 catalog I was talking about.....no dot for the fairing under 85R.... nor is there a fender brace or extender for the 83-84R... another one of my pet peeves!!! 200x braces work, but Honda never designed one or offered for 83-84R.

Hondaline Hartman! :TrikesOwn

Along the lines of Hondaline stuff

I recently purchased this listed as a guard for a tecate250r. It came from the same seller that I bought some stuff for my 81 250r from. I figured if it was for a T3 i could check it our or wondered could this be a mislisted part for the 81R. When I received it it has a honda bag of bolts in the package. Another bonus was it looked dirty in the pic but when I received it its perfect.

In any event I dont have my 81 R yet to test it- It is hopefully being delivered the 8th.

Did I luck out and get a Hondaline headlight guard for the 1st generation 250r??

Yes, that is the factory headlight guard for the 81-82 R. It doesn't look too bad on the bike either.

Yamaha did a bunch too.... I have Yamaline (hahahhaa) Headlight guards, Hand guards, Foot Brush guards for my YTM200ERN.. It also had a Gun Rack, but not sure on the authenticity of that. I still want a set of 225DX Heel Guards/Floor Boards.

My Suzuki 4x4 has Suzukiline Hand guards, and a headlight lens guard.

Seems like Kawasaki had stuff too. I've seen some floorboards and guards for those on ebay too.

that's a good ? MT. It's sort of a toss up 110, 185's, or maybe just store it with the rest of the accessory add-ons.

Does the fairing have a number plate or the clear windshield? I have an extra number plate I'd love to trade for another clear windshield. I have 4 number plates, but only 1 clear windshield.

Didn't they make a blue fairing for the blue 110's? Those must be extremely rare!

Did they make a blue one for the 110's ? I've never seen one, :wondering but would love to have one if they exist.

Yeppers... that's the "number plate"......

Yeppers.... back before Service Honda "updated" their part search, I found the part number for the blue fairing. I typed in the first 5 numbers of the fairing, and it came back with the red fairing, the blue fairing, and all the different mounting kits for the different ATC's. Now however, if you do a partial part number, it only lists one part, instead of all parts that start with that number. Unfortunately, I didn't write it down....

here's...... ATC FRG BODY (RED) blah blah blah.... I had it come up as ATC FRG BODY (BLUE) before... so it's out there......
