Well the ol' 200 wont start and wont start. I put new coil whire on it, still nothing. So i thought about it for a while, and said hey, what about fuel. So i took off the throttle cable, pore some gas down it and she starts. As long as i stay on the gas i can ride it for hours, but let it idle for a while, and it dies. the petcock is on, and i tryd butting it on reserve, and vent in cap says on, but still the same problem. any idears

If you hold partial throttle when you pull the cord will it start this way ?
also try full choke with like half throttle and pull the cord.. if it starts this way , your idle is set too low or the carb is dirty i would think..

Disassemble carb, remove all jets, and air screw completely, blow carb cleaner through each orifice, and make sure its squirts back out a different orifice. Pay special attention to the pilot jet and the orifice from which it was removed.

Yeah, what Tim said, take er apart. also look for air leaks, my R wont start if the cap on top of the carb is loose.
