View Full Version : Vintage motorsports 86 250R Resto!!!

Well guys been a long time coming , and its just about done I just have to bolt on the footpegs and put the 2 decals in the rear and she will be done. I have been working with honda for the last 2 years restoring Bikes and ATCs for the Honda collection hall in japan and this one is headed to japan next week. this was my personal bike I had growing up and have been restoring it off and on for the past 4 years . check out my site i have added some pics of some of the other ATCs i have done for honda a summer yellow US90, a 73 ATC 70 , beleive it or not the wanted a tri zinger 60 and i am just about done an alt50 for them . they want to set up a kids display with all the different manufactures . thought you guys might like to see it before it goes back to its home

Hope you're not the type that gets offended by this kind of question but, how much is Honda paying you for that? I'm sure we're all curious.

Next time you talk to those guys at HOJ, tell them to stop discontinuing and destroying our precious OEM parts too. ;)

Edit: take that thing to a photographer first and get some high quality shots taken for some posters! You'd clean up on ebay! Put me down for one right now. :beer

Lets just say Honda has alot of money, and when i first started building this 250R i thought they would bury me with it , I told everyone i would never sell. I will just leave it at that , Im sure honda does not want me throwing around business dealings with them they have been very good to me .

That is sexy man. I love it...now I gotta make sure I find a water cooler in my lifetime...although it proble wont even look 1/2 as nice as your resto. NICE WORK...well goona go drool along with slothminx now.

i find it hard to beleive that they never kept at least one sample of each bike for themselves seems stange that they would have some outside company build them something that they originally built thousands of. kinda like cadillac hiring me to build them an escalade go figure????? either way that is awesome work vms does

Nice resto i was checking out your site and noticed the sears minibike i have one of them in the garage but it needs alot of work lol,i never knew the model till seeing it on ** site.
