I'm sure DG makes a pipe for it, but since ya only have a 110, I'd probably do a high compression piston, mild cam, Hi Flo air filter, and some carb mods to go along with that pipe. Then that little sucker will move!

A speedo will probably be more expensive than a high performance piston/cam because of the rarity of it. Then again...you could be lucky. A speedo isnt going to make the bike go any faster, it will just show how slow it is :naughty: haha, well it is only a 110.

Well, an old hondaline ATC speedo will run up in the 100s if you are not lucky. A wiseco piston for a 110 will probably not be as expensive as you think. Buy the piston and you will see amazing results. Check the Spark plug and ignition. Is it not startin with the pull starter, then there isnt much compressinon. You will probably need new piston rings. Details?

Bassani pipe, K&N with no box, and of course a rejet and tune, then later add a cam, a little port and polish, piston, and a bigger carb:mikuni
Even just the first part will make it alot more fun. Mine was sand only so I stipped it down a little, added an axle and some gliders on offset aluminum rims. shop around and this stuff can be had for reasonable.

I have heard that this guy has a lot of nos bassani pipes, but I havn't dealt with him myself.

DG makes a nice pipe, flat black if that matters. Also remove the airbox and put a nice unifilter on or a K&N and use a filter outer sock to help keep all the fine dirt and sand out and you will need to rejet. If you plan on going through alot of water, keep the stock air box and get a nice unifilter for that. Open air filters and lots of water or puddles don't mix too well. Keep an eye out on ebay for an aftermarket frame, like a johnson bandito or other. A 110 engine will generally fit into a 90 frame. Slightly smaller tires will help out with top speed but don't get too small or you run a chance of ground clearance problems and your tires are your main suspension.

Get a used DG pipe, new ones are too expensive. I agree with the ATC90 frame, it fit me just fine. Also do the re-jet and filter + sock. Try to place the air filter directly on the carb for best performance. For rear tires, for track get Carlisle turf tamers hard dirt. If they are 3 nut wheels, use the honda 90ATV wheels/sand tires. Get wheel spacers because i do not believe that they still make axles for your model. Wiseco does not make a piston for your model. Try Ebay motors. This is all getting expensive though. Just go with a high comp 12:1 high compression piston from that company "shindy" and run race fuel. how much money are you wiling to spend again?

Hey dude I think you're the youngest on here!
You can get a speedo display for $50 from service honda (red faced kind)... you can probably find the rest of the kit used (or new) for under $50. Put a wanted ad in the classifieds on this board for the kit.
Oil goes in down by the transmission if I'm not mistaken.
Good luck with the project!

ok how do i rejet
monster 84r
08-30-2005, 01:52 AM
to rejet, or change just the main jet, loosen the carb to cylendar boot, and rotate the carb onto its side with the bowl facing me. make sure the gas is off. unscrew the bowl drain screw, (big nut on the bottom) and youl see a brass tube, called a jet. i use a small socket to unscrew mine, then replace it with a different size. i.e. after going from 1000ft-6000ft i put in a 146 main, rather than the 148 i usually use. try to find a older person to help you out, or look at some schematics and diagrams of carbs. let me know, i have a ton saved on my pc.

how much is a bassani pipe
so-cal
08-30-2005, 11:53 AM
$30 to $60 if your patient seems to be a good price.
When you rejet your just keeping the correct air to fuel ratio by changing the size of the passage way that the gas goes though.Take up monster on those diagrams just to see whats inside the carb.
At 11, you are already ahead of the game in the weight department so any mod should yield dramatic results so don't let old fat guys tell you that you won't be able to tell the difference.
What kind of riding do you do? Dunes, trails, around the farm...
