check this business out...some kids had it at the drags in lawton last weekend, and man is this thing loaded with old school goodies!!!

it had some crazy intake stuff, what looked to be a nitrous manifold, a HUGE reed cage, bigger carb, custom filter deal....old school square tubing chrome swinger, solid front end(PIMP!), cr250 cases, 300 kit, sick-ass custom drag or flat track? downpipe, and an old school "paddle" style wheelie bar.... check out the pics, and it did very low 5 second 300 ft times in the dirt...

That might be a Mugen 360 cylinder. But I may be wrong. Looks pretty cool. How did it finish.

Thats my kind of kick starter :) If you cant Duct (tape) it, **** it.

Looks like a scary ass toy if it gets in the hands of the wrong person.

I think you're right. Here's a pic of the 300 Hondaline from that angle.

Hmmmm.... you sure that's not some dirt bike motor? Why is the kicker on the left?

he did say it has cr250 cases so thats probably why the kicker is where its at

Kids that would be a cr480 motor, it was forsale a while back. The man that built Chainsaws motor built that bike i believe. I guess that trike turns some good numbers......

Yeah, that bike came from Michigan originally. Its been on ebay twice, the first time I just got out bid for it, then the second time it was clear in PA so I didnt even bother trying. The guy who built my Tri Z, was friends with the guy that built that machine, in Paw Paw michigan. He said its ran a best of 4.77 in dirt on gasoline. Its only had the head plained, and port job. It had a Lectron carb on it when it left michigan, and an original ATC cover for it,.. but those werent listed on the ebay auction last time it was listed. Also the rear fenders were almost mint, and complete.. some tool cut them down for some reason. That thing looked 10 times better, almost show quality when it left Michigan. I had pics of it back then, but cant find them now on my comp.

well, a stock z400 with a pipe and jet kit was doing consistent 5.6-5.7's, evrything else(400's 450's) stays around in that range until you get into porting and whatnot.... my 85R runs pretty consistent 5.8's with the 38 carb, ram valve, pipe and no airbox lid and +4 swinger on, once i get it jetted right im pretty sure it can do 5.6's with a decent track....

remember even though its only a half of a second or so faster than the newer quads, a half second is a lot of time with qheelers and whatnot....im sure it is capable of MUCH faster times if it was set up correctly with a newer carb and stuff, it looked like a 36 or 38mm r/s which SUCKS.i liked watching it smoke 370 alcohol 250r's....lol

My 250R with a 292 big bore sleeve runs 5.20's in 300 ft sand, that is on gasoline. That 480 motor has a lot of potential. If it was fully ported and on alcohol, it should be able to run in the 4.30- 4.60 range.

hornet, remember in sand you can hook up WAY better than on dirt, so you never know... its hard to translate dirt times to sand and vice versa...

But keep in mind, sand slows you down on top end more then dirt does. So it almost equals out.

That is true. I also do the dirt drags, but they don't have times. I would be curious to see what it would run time wise on dirt.
