Ok I got the correct size feeler gauges. I know the clearance specs for my trike which is an 84 200x. I can get the gas tank off. The two caps then come off on the cylinder head. Got the 'T' mark on the flywheel lined up at TDC on compression stroke. Now, my question is when I'm looking in at the valves and rocker arms and such...where the heck do I stick the feeler guage? I hope this doesn't sound stupid, this is the first time that I'll be doing this. I will warm the engine up before checking this too. I can see where to adjust them too but don't want to touch that until I figure at where to stick the feeler gauge. Thanks.

You put the feeler gauge in between the valve rocker and the top of the spring. It sure sounds like you have a manual to go by ( and that is a good thing ) . Go to the section about headcap removal and it should come to you about the terminoligy I used.
Or using bikebadit.com right between #15 and #12

I don't know for sure in your aplication, But valve clearance is usually set cold. You want to get the feeler guage inbetween the rocker arm & the top of the valve stem. Make sure you are on compression stroke & not exhaust. :beer
