Just curious if a round slide mikuni can be or has been put on a 250 sx. I work at a huge yamaha dealer as a technician but i came across this 250 sx on a trade in and i took it home. Needs a carburetor. Can this be done. It came stock with a 27mm carb. Any suggestions? Thanks

Some guys put 350x carbs on their SX's... so i'm sure there is a way...
What's wrong with the one on it ? or does it not have one ?

previous owner broke air screw off in the carb. the adjustment is minimal and to say the least needs the choke to stay afloat. 350x carb huh? I might have to scour ebay for that. Regardless she needs a carb. I bought the damn thing for 75 bucks with a rebuilt motor and trans, new shaft drive, all new bearings, seals, bushings, cables, bars. Everything is 110% functional. Guy wanted to trade for a new kodiak wheeler and we refused his trade because it was an ATC. so i asked and i got it for damn near nothing... Gotta say ATC's are definetly cool ****.

The SX has and will outlast just about any new quad built today..... Heck.. i can't even imagine my neighbor's kingquad 700 EFI in 20 years from now.....

Awesome Deal. But If You Need A Sx Carb I Have One . And A 200x Carb Is Also Verry Similar But The Choke Is All An Issue Unless You Pull Up The Lever With The Cable And Have A Spring Pull It Back Down. But Make It Work Its An Awesome Deal No Matter How * Look At It.

how much for the carburetor? might be interested. It was a killer deal. couldnt pass it up plus i can get maier plastics for just about nothing. the only other thing i would like to get is a seat. was also wondering if there was a different shock that i could throw in the back. the 200x with remote resivior? I go to school for machining so if i need to make something it can be done with ease. i was thinking of redoing the motor and blueprinting it this year. Any recommendations on mods?
