Sooooo, How does this guy hook up anyway?

There is what looks to be a extra connection off the side of the carb. Do I need special thumbthrottle setup for this, or just a new cable? Never hooked ones of these up before setup like this and my kiddie quads have the pump but it just uses a single cable off the side. Should I just go look at the newer quads and see how they are hooked up. Anyway any help you could tell me, or even give me a machine this is hooked up to I could get an idea of what I need to do. Thx Jen

P>S like it matters but this is for my 85 200x.

Do you have any pics Jenn? I've got an accelerator pump on my 400 but it only has one cable. Is this a 250x/300ex carb (they only have one cable also) or what is it?

jenn... your putting that carb on a 200x? That would take me 2 years to figure that out. Sorry I can't help you as much as you've helped me out lately. ;)

So Kasey you never seen it either? Hmmm its always fun to stump the real pros!

Thx Chris, I am sure I will get it figured out. Worse case live without pump. since it is separate.

Going fishing here Jenn but on a car one cable can operate everything. Is there a way that when you hit the gas the other one goes with it at all? Do you know what I mean?

They have a website at: http://www.ruilicn.com/
They also have about 500 caruretors on their site too.
If you have a model # you could do a search and see what they have.
You might have to use a split cable; like one for a 2 stroke with an oil injection.

It looks like there should be a link from where the throttle cable hooks up that goes down to the acc. pump.

JBbooks, first of all welcome to the board!

The link is very helpful!

I have tracked down two diffenrent types of twist throttles I am gonna hafta gamble on one of them, soooo Here is a link to 2 different types I found that look extremely promising, and wanted to see what you all thought. I am leaning towards auction 1 for a close possibility?>

auction one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTION-PRO-TWIST-THROTTLE-KIT-KAWASAKI-KFX400-KFX-400_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43967QQitemZ4569281 504QQrdZ1)
auction 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/75-Honda-CB360-Handlebars-Twist-Throttle-Switch_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35594QQitemZ4570 537229QQrdZ1)

Mind you these are just sample twists, it doesnt neccessarally mean that is the twist I want to buy. I am just asking which style? Thank you Jen
