Hello I am new to this site it seems like a cool place . I have a yamaha 225, 84 or 85 with a mikuni carb. I just recently rebuilt the carb because the bike had been sitting a while before I bought it. However I can not get the carb adjusted correctly it wont idle and it popps out of the carb like it is running to lean. If anybody knows the propper way to adjust this carb that would be great!!!!!!!! I have rebuilt many carbs and never had this problem before. Thanks , Brad. All coments are welcome.
Mess with the idel air screw.Check the one way valve on the carb.See if it is faulty.

Nice bike edog thats what I got same color 225 . I got another question, there is a small brass screw next to the float bowl ( but not in the float bowl) and I dont know what this screw is for . I know where the air screw is and I have messed with it however it still wont idle. By the way when you said (one way valve) did you mean the float valve???

:welcome: Seems like the whole carb thing has been beatin to death here on these boards lately. Use the search box on the top of the page. Type in carb or carb rebuild you'll find a thousand threads on this subject. I've been pulling my hair out the last couple days with my carb so I feel your pain.
