I just had my new 22-10-9 Maxxis 4-snow tires mounted up for some sand crusing and a little drag racing, just wondering what would be the best direction to run them. It looks like if i run them oppisite of the rotation arrow i will get a little more bite (I have been told that this is the best way to run them) but I wanted to hear a little more about them, maybe from someone that has tried them on a trike? I am not really concerned with how they will affect my steering abilities as I am not going to be doing any High speed manuevers other than straight line.

You do get a little more bit with the open end of the V as the leading edge.

But in mud and snow you want the pointy end of the V as the leading edge.
It pushes the mud and snow out away from under the tires.

Thats how we run the stud patterns on our sleds to push the ice chunks out from under the track, plus you get a clean bite, other then keeping it under the track.
