air cooled 250r specifications

i was wondering if anyone had the ring gap specifications for and the other specs needed for boring out the cylinder jug? thanks

in the 2-stroke manual it says 0.1 to 0.12mm per inch of bore.

are you planning on using a factory type piston or a wiseco. If your using a wiseco contact them and they will tell you, you need more clerance with the wiseco because its a forged piston, expands quicker.
Do you plan on boring it yourself, or are you sending it out. Millenium technology does great work on cylinders, send the cylinder with your new piston and they will set you up. They did all our snowmobile cylinders.

My wiseco instructions call for a ring gap of .004 per inch of bore then .002 piston to wall clearance. I ran a .0025 clearance though. Good luck........... :beer
