I have went through the carb twice. Cleaned everything took out all jets and checked the floats and everything. I have a new air filter, good reed valves, and a trike that won't idle  . Overall the bike seems to be running rich, but do I need a bigger pilot? I run no lid on the airbox and stock jets as of right now. Any suggestions? Also I have adjusted the air screw until I turned blue in the face  .
I'm at a loss. :wondering

You have a 45 stock pilot? You made sure it is not clogged? How far in is you idle screw? You check your fuel pump to make sure the gaskets do not have any tears?

It's the stock 45 pilot, and I made sure that it was not blocked with carb cleaner and compressed air. I can screw the throttle screw in all the way and it will not make a difference :wondering . I took apart the fuel pump and checked it out yesterday, all is fine. Today I replaced all the hoses (fuel pump and carb) and still no go :( .

I cleaned and cleaned my carb and couldn't get it to idle. I then replaced the stock pilot jet and moved my needle clip to the third setting and it idles fine now.

Did you replace yours with another 45 or something bigger? I have no idea on how much to go up. Is it common to need a bigger pilot and a smaller main?

is your throttle cable adjusted wrong? does it rev high or low? not sure if that is a problem what about the idle screw it didnt fall out or anything did it? just some simple things to check

Make sure your air screw is not all the way in.

I have adjusted the air screw many, many times. The throttle cable seems to be adjusted right. I can make it idle by adjusting the cable tighter, but my manual says it is supposed to have play and doing that takes out all play. When I do that the slide doesn't make contact with the throttle adjuster at all. I can screw it in or out and it makes no difference.
Will it hurt anything having constant tension on the cable? It doesn't rev high or anything when it's turned left or right, and seems to work good.
