My very first trike was a 1983 Honda 200 plain (hence the name, honda200)

it was my very first, on my own fix up, i set the valves, did the carburator, and had that thing going awesome, fired up in 1 pull all the time, i loved the tihng to death, except..

it had no rear suspension, and back then, all i wanted to do was hit big jumps and go through woops, it was a PIG on stuff like that, so, i stuck it out on my front lawn with a big for sale sign, my old neighbour bought it off me for 500 bucks, and i was happy, i went out, bought a 200X later on and a YTM 175 for my dad, and fixed up the 200X, then i ended up gettin rid of the YTM and the 200X, now i got the tri z and the tecate, and i am getting rid of them both, and i am trying to get my old 200 plain back, just for 1 reason, it was a BEAST through mud, it couldnt be stopped, so..

i am goin to look up my old neighbour, see if he still has it, if so, see if he wants to sell it back to me, if not, then i will try and buy my buddies 1984 YTM225 (i think its an 84)

i am only using this unit for mud, and mud only, no jumps, no whoops, nothin like that, so, i dont care about rear suspension, i just want a trike to kick some 4x4 quads arse through the mud

now, whos with me?

The plain 200 is much lighter than the SX .... but still get the SX.... alot more fun and a hell of alot more comfortable for the trip to the mud hole !!

Oh yes. SX's are wonderful mudding machines. They have quite a bit more power to get you outta the mud than the 200X. The only thing is that they have a little more weight. But still I'd say better than the X..

I second that, my SX goes through mud like crazy!! My Z didnt do too good in the Mud, but sadly my Z is gone. (had to pay for my education)

Thanks for the Z curtis, and try to get the 200 back. I have one and I love it for mud and catwalks!

lol I guess up here we call things different. Its a wheelie, when a cat goes up on its two back legs. The same thing as a wheelie, I guess after 15 years of saying a catwalk im used to saying it  .

Its a wheelie

I feel your pain Honda200, I miss my first trike too. I had a 110 that you just couldn't kill. Someday I figure I'll get another one. I'm suprised you aren't keeping one of the sport trikes. It is nice to get some arm ripping speed once in a while.

Look for a 84-86 honda 200s they are a 200 but with front shocks. I rode the 83 200 and the 200s. If you like the 200 you will love the 200s, i have set mine up for mudden, and you can go from mud to trail. The front shock helps alot during trail riding. And up can put beefie tires on it two.
