This is what I'm thinking right now:
20" blue tires w/8" alluminum rims in the rear, standard gold rim up front with black tire.
We're trying to go for an old school racer look, mismatched rims, etc...
How do you think this would look, have any more suggestions?
Thanks
Phil
Turf Tammers Made My 84r Look Pretty Sweet.

I'd go turf tammers too, but to be fair I am biased. I'm not a fan of blue tires. I like the mismatched idea.

If your looking for the old school racer look I'd go with the 18" blue duro's like scott has. Those flat track hoosiers look cool as well (pictured) or you can always go with the TRAIL PRO's :D

The R came with Blue Duros, but we ride way too much to keep them there. So I don't want to go with any tire that can't be bought any more.
I think the Hoosiers would look awesome, but I'm looking for some sort of traction in the wet stuff.
I will add Turf Tamers to the list of considerations.

I never get sick of looking at that dude's 350x! Tamers, holeshots or razr's if your lookin for traction.

There's nothing old school about those.... personally i think they're gay. Although I think a Tecate with those green tires would look kinda cool.
If I Had To Choose A Color I Would Go With The Red

I would say try and keep the gold rims, I love the gold rim look. None of the quads these days have gold rims........

Not to sure about the blue tires but i would say either turf tammers or razr's in 18 inch.

I got Fast Trekkers on the Rear of my Tecate and Love them. they are 20-10-10 and look so cool and because they are 20" they have good ground clearance. 18's will make you bottom out alot so keep that in mind.
I have a 22-11-10 Titan Turf Tamer that is brand new, only installed for the restoration. I want to sell it and im willing to sell it Dirt Cheap. If anyone wants one for Cheap that is brand new let me know. Then you will save money because you will only need to buy 1 Turf Tamer. Heres a Pic.

I am starting to lean towards the turf tamers I think. But I don't want to go 18" since we do lots of trail riding.
We're definitly going with the mismatched rims to keep the old school racer type look.
Hmmm.. will have to think about it some more. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
