not sure if 90nut got my p/m but heres the pic of my buddies white Tecate. the tank use to be Kawasaki green but he painted it white cuz he didnt like the green. the plastics are factory white which are few and far between. he also had the seat put in white as opposed to black from the factory.

he's owned the bike for about 5 years and whats sad is this is the only pic that he know of that exists. I was also told the plastics are factory, the tank was green but he painted it white cuz he didnt like the green.

in person its steller to look at and a lot of people cratch their heads trying to figure out what it is until it clicks with em or they are told what it is. its the only white one I have ever seen. this pic was taken just before he went to little sahara a couple of years ago.

whats really funny is he had a chance to own a green one and a red one, as well as the white that he has now. the green and red one came up for sale about a week apart from each other in the town i live in.

Hmmm....I've seen white plastics on Tecates from out of the country (Marco AKA Greenboy had some 86-87 T3 scoops that were white if I remember right) But I've never seen white stuff here and certainly not on an 84-85. Sure its not aftermarket like UFO or Maier?

Could it have had KTZ trike plastics on it? The front fender looks like T-3 (no louvers) but the rears and tank look like the prototype ktz 300 plastic, but ,I'm probably wrong, they could be original batch plastics before the color was added and just shipped with a machine.

Yeah the rears look like 86/87 T3. Thats cool though, wonder who manufactured those back then. Perfect candidate for a blue, purple or pink frame and accents.

Kawasaki was in the process of making a 350/ 450,500 2 stroke, liquid cool, mono shock, dual disk brake, 285 lb. meatmauler with about 42 or 44HP on the 350 when the edict came down to cancel the trike program. I've heard it called the KLZ, KTZ or KRZ, It apperantly would have been white, to separate it from the tecates and originally only available for team K and a few select racers to use, rumor has it that about 40 machines were sold in eastern Canada in late 1987,early 1988 with the 350cc engine option and called big bore Tecates, I don't know if any of the 500cc units were even manufactured beyond the prototype. Somewhere in a box I have a polariod of 3 snow white machines sitting in Windsor Ont. at a dealership, If memory serves me correctly they were about 4000.00 per unit .I don't know if the were 'cates or the race machine. The one in the picture has the "wing/spoiler" over the back tires which looks like the prototype racer fender, but, again it may be exitement and age making me jump to a conclusion.

Looks like a white 86 fender...as for the prototype 350 /450/500 machines, I find that hard to believe and more so we would have heard about that from oldfart.
