Dim light?

HEY, I just bought a 1983 185 at a local yard sale. The Bulb in the front headlight was blown so i put a new one in it, and that worked for a while with only high beam. But after bouncing around on trails both beams began to work nice and bright. But, I was going along and the bike quit, It then started easily and ran perfect but both light beams went dim, and it is not the bulb. The switch works fine also. Please help me out here as I often get cought in the dark.

Almost every electrical problem on a motorcycle is bad electrical connections. Might be a bad ground or loose connection on the stator. Get it to be dim then wiggle the wires to each connector and see if it goes bright.

I unpluged the first ground connection and pushed it on the frame and it was still the same dim light so whats that tell me? (I'm retarded when it comes to electrical stuff :cry: )

I unpluged the light from the 185 and plugged it in a different 3 wheeler and it worked so.....
