This is just an opinion but I am curious as to what you guys think the best wheelie trike is. I would have to say the 200x and the yamaha 225dx coming in a close second. What do you guys think.

dont know.. only drove my klt, but i think it does some of the better ones because of the gas tank in the rear, doesnt take much to pull the wheel up.

probably the easiest 3wheeler EVER IS THE 110 THEY ARE JUST BALANCED PERFECT!!!!!

I would say Yamaha 200's, 225's probaly wheelie just as good though, because the motor sits so far back in the frame on them.

any 2 stroke 250 trike wheelie the easiest except its harder to learn how to balance them

Defently the 350x, it has the power to balance it where ever you want. the 110 and 70's are a close second.

200x's dont have the power to wheelie where ever you want.

I don't think there is any best but out of the ones I rode....... 125M, 200S, 200x,250R I liked the 200S the best.

Since it had no suspension in rear end never squated or rebounded and the chain was always taught it all led to easier controlled wheelies. It also seemed the best balanced of the four.

Doug Domokus (The wheelie king) used one too.

For high speed controlled wheelies I'd pick the 350X even though I never rode one.

Had to respond to this one

My ytm is an AMAZING trike for wheelies. Well balanced and plenty of power. the 25X13 tires help, too. :w00t:

As Huffa points out, the 200s is also great.

I would have to say my ATC200, I can go for a long long time on that thing. It always is balanced perfectly. That being said, I rode Howdys 350x at Trikefest that thing was insane for riding catwalks. I hit the throttle in 3rd gear and 4th and up she came. I bet that thing could be sweet for catwalks.

I would have to say that out of the trikes I own, I can go the furthest on my 350X. I would say alot of it depends on what you are used to riding, but the 350 has enough power to keep you up at about any speed.

I'd have to say my old chain drive Big Red's.... I use to be able to drive them forever on a wheelie!!! Just put my foot on the rear rack and give it gas and it would balance right out! I can't seem to get that balance on my 350X to ride forever on a wheelie... though I gas it often and lift it up! My 82R wheelies in about any gear with any quick jab at the throttle... that 2 storke combined with the 1st generation short swinger makes it hard to keep her down!

The smaller yammies go up like nothing in my experience especially since the frontend is so light.

i have a 350x and am up to about 15 wheelies over deep whoops. i can ride it in any gear and shift on the fly up in the air wheelie without using the clutch to pop it up sitting on top of the tank it will lift my 250lbs arse anyday!!

by far the 200S! No clutch and you have a hand break that makes it more easy.....But id still rather wheeile my R then anything else :)

didnt doug use a 185S as well?
Yep before there was a 200s. His rides were modified for wheelies though. He had it so that he could "brake" the rear tires indipendently to turn while wheelie'n.

i can weelie anythign from a atc70 to a 250r tri-z but i can tell you the worst trike to wheelie is the alt50 fliped one backwards doing a wheelie and broke the rear axle and carrier clean off the frame, and this is also because i can pick it upo with one hand being 6 foot and 230lbs lol but did wheelie it for abotu 100 yards or so. mand i woudl have to agree with kasey on the atc110 but i am suprised noone said the 250sx yet??

i also like my 350x for wheelies, but my old 225 was killer,,,from a dead stop, that thing would stand straight up before it started to move forward and then i could hold her up and shift through all the gears

SX isn't exactly a wheelie machine. It does very good wheelies, but I'm sure there are better out there.

Honda 250sx.

I was actually thinking about the 250SX myself. I loved riding wheelies on that machine. My 200s (junkyard dog) does really good wheelies as well. I am not to fond of wheeling around as the last time I rode out a good one is when my 200s' original motor laid down.

250SX hands down.

i have lots of hours loged on my 250sx doing wheelies, just enough power to lift it up and enough weight to keep it there. i used to sit on the handlebars of my 110's and my 250sx and do 4th and 5th gear wheelies on the sx sitting ont he handle bars. the only bad part of the sx's is the brakes are junk. awesome mud mach9ine too mine was snorkled.

No doubt in my mind it's the 250R (http://webserver1.dancris.com/~dammit/250r/lowtire.avi). No worries about oil not getting pumped around properly because it's a 2-stroke, perfect balance point, controllable powerband. Learn to work the clutch in a wheelie and you can literally ride a wheelie until you run out of room, regardless of how much room you have. I've mentioned it before but when I had the room to do it I could start off from a dead stop (like in the vid) take it all the way up to sixth gear, then slow back down to first almost to a dead stop without putting the front wheel down. I could do first through 5th on my 200x but it was way harder to do because of the lack of power in the higher gears. I could never go from 5th back down to 1st on anything but my R though.
