250R fork oil amount

I'm getting ready to put a 250R frontend on the 500R. Jim (x.system) sent me some copies out of the service manual when I bought my frontend from him but I lost them. :rolleyes: Could anyone look it up in their manual and let me know how much to use? Its for the 85-86 frontend. Thanks.

This is kind of weird. Never noticed there was a difference before.

Front fork oil capacity '85: 400cc (13.56 oz)
After '85: 465cc (15.5 oz)

Well one year had one solid fork spring, and another had 2. A smaller and then a longer one. I'm gonna say the 86 is the one that had 2? Not sure though. Mine are the single spring setup.

no 85 had too springs and 86 had on solid spring. If you look at the hole page on there they will tell you how fair from the top of the shock (with no wieght on them total extended) and the 86 is lees room from the top (hint more oil). Unsure why they changed it but i know there are moredifferaces in side the from fork
