I have a question about my 1986 honda 350x.
When I am riding it and got it topping out it breaks up bad but only at top end.
When I am tooling around low and mid range is fine.
I rebuilt the carb with no luck.
If anybody has any advice it would be greatly appreciated

do you have any mods? or changed the jetting? It sounds like its WAY rich on top.

my 250r was doing that, kinda sputtering in high rpm's. it was because i had a crappy plug, bad gas, old carb etc. i cleaned the carb, checked reeds, put in new gas, new plug, and it hasnt sputtered since. you could have a problem with jetting , but im an idiot when it comes to that. im sure some of the 350x guys here know whats going on.

Clean your airfilter, check your jetting, and make shure that your sparkplug is tight, a loose spark plug cand do that.

Don't forget to check your intake rubber for cracks.

I think he's refering to the lean condition it could create. A severe case would make it break up.
