Gas and oil mix

At what ratio should I mix the gas and oil for my 82 250R?

32:1 is standard for regular mix.

if you use synthetic stuff it can be as high as 50:1 ..

where can you get the synthetic oil? is it really that much better than the cheap auto zone stuff? how much does the synthetic cost?
