This a a 350X I found up in TN. this weekend. I have been trying to buy it "site unseen" for quite sometime with no luck. Now I know what it looks like and I also found out that its an 86 model and was drove to where it sets now. Its curenntly sealed to become a 250X/350X conversion. I am now determined to buy this machine and I am about to start throwing money in the air (I have never made an offer before). There is great potential here, Its just so sad to see it like this.

Rescue it. Can't see much in the pics but it deserves a better future than mother nature is going to give it sitting there. What's this conversion talk? Put it back to original & you won't regret it. (IMO)

i think it is only worth about half of used 350x's value because of the way it is sitting outside unprotected.I always say, if you leave them out long enough the weather will kill them. Such a waste. He should at least cover it up!!Not with leaves and brush either

well having cudzu(spelling) in a yard before and being pretty sure thats what it is. I had two old truck rims one that got wrapped in kudzu and one that did not get wrapped and pulling them out to throw away after 5 years of sitting the one wrapped in cudzu was considerable better looking.
saying that the trike may be in substantially better condition when you cut it out of there then you think. Plus that stuff grows quick so it doesn;t look like its been in there all that long loking at grwth alone.
Ill get it if you don't I want a 350x bad.

Its been sitting a couple years. He Does not want to sell it to me because of the conversion plans he has for it. For anyone who doesnt know, a 250X/350X conversion is removing all the motor and electricals from the 350X and modifying the 250X quad frame to accept the larger engine. I am attempting to figure out what to offer him for it. I know that its not going anywhere and conig is right, the leaves and vines are protecting it quite well actually, It was much better than the roller I got from him (he already has one conversion and I got whats left of the other X) that was just setting out in the yard.

I don't understand people treating machinery like that. Especially if he says he has plans for it! Hell, I wouldn't leave my old broken lawnmower out like that let alone a 350X! That's trike abuse right there!
We should report him to the proper athority's.Hey EZ in NZ got any pics of the 1986 225 DRS?

Trike Police? I thought I was lol.... Dont worry all, I am about to begin all attempts to bring her home. If all he wants it for is the motor and the harness, I've got a spare motor and harness that I would gladly give him for the complete machine.

I've painted the gold wheels silver. Stripped the old gold off the fork lowers and painted the rear hubs and front drum red.
It has a funky/ugly muffler on it and needs a good tidy up but the plastic is all good.

Damn, that looks like some of my rescues. Good find. Do what you can to save it, I am sure those vines have protected it more than you all think.

I'd consider doing a 350x conversion to a 250x(if I got one cheap). they are awesome woods machines. I have about 3/4 of a 350x and looking for a nice frame for a reasonable price.

Sounds like one of those "I'm gonna" guys. They're always "gonna" but they never really do anything. Then, when people offer to buy some of their POS's they get an inflated sense of worth, like some old lady with a 4-door Chevelle. If they don't want to sell it, move on.

Dang its a zombie thread!!!
i saved mine from the same situation but in worse condition it was sitting out in a pasture for 15 years in Missourri and i bugged my uncle about it for a year throughing rediculous numbers at him for a bike in the shape it was in. It has a rusted out tank and busted rearend so he decided to just give it to me after my dad talked to him then i had to wait three month to pick it up.
