Hey i just need some help. I have a TriMoto 175 ported polished and all that junk but i am running 22-11-8 tires on it. I ride all hard pack and grass and am inteseted in putting a set of 18's on it. I know it will probably look stupid but im interested more in proformance then anything else but am willing to sacrafice a little top speed cause shes fast enough anyways. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I think youre going to find that when you put some low profile tires on there, that you will suddenly discover the practical purpose of a taller bouncy flexible sidewall tire on an unsuspended trike. Your tires are your rear suspension. Keep that in mind when choosing them.

DITTO what Tim Sr. said for sure. 20 plus inch diameter high sidewall tires are a good thing on a hard tail trike. Trust me, I got 2 of them. Anything else will beat your kidneys to a pulp.

If you can handle the ride go for it, I put 20" 6 plys on the T-3 and my god it slides good, you can see a video of it on the dune trike thread and thats on asphault and I really dont have to get off the seat to get it to slide although im runnin quite a bit more power than you. If you ride in grass it would defiantly be fun should handle like a new machine.

I think some 18'' Titan Turf Tamers are what you need. They slide and hook up good. They look cool also. :p

Turf tamers have too much traction, go for Duros or Hoosiers !!! If there is a mini-sprint car track nearby, You can get them (slightly worn) for free !

ya theres not one of them around here but theres a few junk yards and stuff around here i can check. Here in canada Turf tamers are about 85 bucks a piece to order so i think im gonna go with them. According to most of the people on this board there a great tire. I havent heard to much bad feedback about them.

Grass is what Turf Tamers were made for as the name implies. They also make a good track tire which is where I use them. As a trail, mud or woods tire, they are a joke, especially as an 18". For the uses you mentioned, they will work fine other than beating you half to death on your unsuspended trike on anything other than a smooth surface. They are made to be run very hard, at about 6 or 7 psi.

So how hard would it be on the axel of a hardtail trike with a set 18'2s on it??
