see im asking b/c today i tested out my new 14 tooth front sprocket to see how much it affected the low and top end... i accidently( i guess) would out the gears a little more than normall, then i was paranoid about a noise in the motor) im like "is that a valve ticking?! bla bla bla etc... my dad said i was paranoid but it does sound a little different.. just the motor noise or mabye it was b/c it was hott. but my best explination of the noise is like a rotating wheel on ball bearings... no ticks. dings etc. just a rotating sound, im sure its just me and just the motor's noise... right!?

I have run my 350X wide open on the hard pack at the beach for several miles at a strech. The motor winds up until it stops and stays there. No damage I can tell, still runs great

If your engine has overheated before reving it out can throw out your lower rod berring. I have a bad crank because of that. A ding isnt good. Your not going to hurt the engine by reving it out unless you float the valves, or overheat it.
