ok i think i had posted here before but lost my password? i try and use the same name at all the forums i hang out at..... BUT i thought i'd pass on my cr500 build and i also have a 350x that i really enjoy that was stolen!@! from me 6 YEARS AGO and i just recentely got it back!! its been in a garage or barn for the whole time and the stinkers thought i would have forgotten by now!

i have had an 85 cr500 for about 4 years now i have just recentelly started the conversion i wanted a playdragger that would take the whoops pretty well. i am using the cr500 frame its an 85 and those had drum rear brakes i had to weld in a mount and a pedal from a honda street bike.. i smothed and completed all the welds on the frame. after much consideration i decided to build my own sub-frame i didnt want the flip up seat and will make a cut out in the plastic for the kicker. the seat will biolt directley to the subframe and to remove THE ENTIRE seat and sub frame will be 4 bolts!! i am using a metal tech 34" swingarm, lsr drag axle for 250r, 250r rear brakes ( that was hell!!) and 250r front end (85) the engine is completely rebuilt and has new crank( that the dealer screwed up!!) and wiseco 20 over piston ftx out frame pipe, 44 mm lectron alky carb, special prting and head design and also a LOT of powder coat. I will not have ANY chrome on this and it will be 90% powdercoated and 10% polished. i have a few pics i could post but HOW~!!!!

i rode the 350x for the first time in 6 years last sunday!! beat a few 400ex's ( what?) and rode wheelies all day long!! i put on new handlebars, clutch perch, and realized the "slipping clutch " was a burnt and broken clutch cable! i didnt realize how much i'd missed my 350x untill last sunday.

i have a 400ex set up to mx that i ride most of the time.. but the 350x hmmmm?

i also own a full drag banshee lsr frame, 535cc 120+ hp alky monster. the crank exploded about a year ago, i have little income and decided to finish the cr for about the same price to FIX my existing drag bike... ( $2200.)

i.m leaving the 400ex home again sunday and riding the 3 wheeler!!

the cr500 conversion i wanted to "do" everything i could ( i powdered it, i built the motor :ported, new head design, i built the subframe, i built the intake, everything except the swingarm and bolt on's i have done...) i have tried to sell it 6 times and noone would come through. to much work they said... well we will see!! they are out there and i come to this site often and finally signed up for the forums!

pop a wheelie for me!

i HATE project bikes!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just realized my lower triple clamp is BENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! this after smoothing all the ridges and powdercoating it and pressing in the dang cr500 stem buying all the needle bearings and nuts to mount it! now the forks wont slide up into it. the stem is bent forwards. must have happend a few years ago at a machine shop... they couldnt get the stem out and heated and slammed it with a press... off to e-bay again!! 85 250r lower

The picture will upload as long as its a .jpg and under 200kb in size. When you go to post a new reply, click the "Post reply" button (NOT the quick reply). then go down to manage attachments, and then you'll have a small window popup where you can select the pictures you want to upload. If they are larger then 200kb you'll have to resize them with an image editing program. OR, you can go to www.supload.com and when its done it will give you a thing to cut and paste here into your forum post that will link to the pictures.
