250r hub questions

ok, my friend just got an 83 R, it is whooped BAD...well, he wants to put some decent tires on it cause right now it has HUGE knobbies on it and it looks/rides like a circus trike...ok, my question is, did honda ever use stamped type hubs on R's??? cause his has them and ive never seen it and they arent 4/110...and also, will later 85-on 250r hubs or 300ex hubs work on it?????? thanks guys...

300ex, 400ex, 200x, 83-84r, 450r hubs will work

so i take it all honda sport wheelers since 83' use the same hubs??

They are probably 82R hubs. They were a 4 on 130 pattern and were stamped. I think just about any Honda hub will work excpt for the 350X. The 300EX and 86-87 200X hubs will give you +2 since they have an offset.
