A little while back I was asking about a 28mm carb. When you said it was easy to hook up I went out and got one. It seems not fit very well, and would need extesive customizing to the frame and need a trick intake manifold to work. Am I missing it here? Is there a way to mount it without going into a can of worms? Thanks for helping me.

Im not mudfreak but ill tell you whats up:
If you bought an aftermarkt 200X carb, chances are its not a real 200x carb. Does it have a manifold thats just a circle (like the airbox side of the carb)? If yes, then youll need a custom manifold, similar to the 350X's.

The carb is a TM 28mm, it is a flat slide. I have a manifold but the slide is too wide to fit between the main frame tube and the support tube that goes from top to bottom. Mudfreak said his went on without much problem so I'm wondering if something isn't right here. Someone said they put one of these on years ago and it was a pain in the arse. I believe him now....

Hey Sam, when I said it went on without a problem, I also mentioned that I didn't know if it would hook to teh air box because I don't run one. and I ordered the intake adaptor boot from pro-flo. The boot you need to order is the one where the holes are 60mm apart and it is for a 28mm whole. that is what have for my TM. also, now that you said this I went out and looked at my frame, it has been heated with a tourch and bubbled in a little (can't say how far because I am not sure) to make a proper fit. Sorry for any inconvience. Hope I can help more. Also if you decide not to go through the trouble of putting the carb on I may want to buy it from you, or I can sell you the adaptor boot for it (i have 3) Thanks alot
Josh
