i pulled out my 250r today and noticed the petcock was left at 'on'. i tore up and down the street once, but when i parked the bike, and turned it off, the carb was gushing fuel out of a hose on the bottom of the float housing. the drain hose continuously pours out gas. it only gushes fuel when i have the petcock on 'on'. is the float valve stuck? do i need to just clean the carb? what should i do?

sound like there is something holdin the needle off it seat. Pull the carb apart and check it out, also check your float level. And if you dont use an inline filter I would advise putting one in.
