I have probably put 2 or 300 miles on the homebuilt around my house. I ride on all my dirt roads and some trials around my place, we have endless dirt roads. Anyway, had my very first "issue" yesterday. I was on a no service road, and came up to a rough spot in the road. It was a 3 foot in diameter pipe, and the road was washed out before and after it. When I went over it, the engine block hit. It's hard to explain, but basically it bent the oil drain plate. I noticed first that the clutch was slipping no matter how I adjusted the cable. Turns out oil was getting on it from the massive leak I developed from the bent plug. Had to trailer it home. Oh well, first damage this year, not bad. I will fix the oil leak, and after that I will built a skidplate. A skidplate will be a pain in the butt though, because if you look at the trike, there is no frame under it. The engine actually hangs from the frame. I'll have to make down tubes I guess.
