i have a yt125 :TrikesOwn . the chain keeps geting lose then the sprocket grinds a genst the chain. it tore the piss out of the last 2 chains. what do i do th keep that dang thing tight?
i thinck i may need a new sprocket.

You should always replace the chain and sprockets at the same time, unless the sprockets snow NO sign of wear...

Was thinking, wouldn't hurt to make sure your rear sprocket is lined up with the front. If something on the bike is bent or out of alignment, that would make sprockets and the chain wear funny. Just a thought.

in thincking of chainging that chain size. i want more top speed so do i go bigger or smaller.

Changing the size of chain has nothing to do with your top speed. You have to change your sprockets, usually the rear one. A smaller rear sprocket = more top speed. A larger rear sprocket = less top speed. It works the opposite if you are gonna change the front one.

check out the bearing on the chain tenshioner sprocket they wear out once in a while. Trouble is its discontinued, you'll have to find an old dealer.
