:TrikesOwn i have what i was told a 1985 ytm 200. ive seen other ytm's with diff letters behind the 200. what numbers (frame or engine) would you gurus need to help me out? TIA

I don't have my Yamaha book... but from memory, sounds like a 1983 YTM200K...

21V = 200 chain drive...
000000 - 60000 83K,
60000 to 100000 84L
100000+ 85N

Its a 1983 YTM200

Most likely it's a 84 Yamahauler, but to be sure post up some serial numbers and we can look it up.

Sounds like it is a 1983 YTM 200EK. Post the serial # & someone here will tell you for sure.

shaft drive

The only 200cc elec start, shaft trike in 83 was the Yamahauler 200E.

All yamaha's have mikuni carbs too.
