Nope. That is a 200x correct? If so they don't actually have oil "Filters" they have an oil screen. It is on the left hand side of the cases (if you were sitting on the bike) bottom side below the stator cover. Big aluminum nut/plug deal. Looks like the rocker arm caps. Takes something like a 24mm to get it off. once it is off just clean the gunk out of there and the screen re-install and your good to go.

sorry, it is a ytm200, the stator side does have the "rocker cover" style cap too. so this machine has a paper filter on the riders right, and a mesh screen on the left?
TIA for the help!
The 200x has a filter. It's called the oil rotor. uses G forses to remove small particals from the oil. The rotor should be cleaned when you change your oil. On some engines I have torn down the rotor was full of dirt and crap. Probably why the engine died. When its full it pumps dirt into the engine.

Oh well it looked like a 200x to me. About the oil rotor I failed to mention that. I do clean mine. Well I have cleaned it but the POS never runs. Very important to clean them as DADS mentioned.

Why are we talking about how to clean a 200x. He's wondering about a YTM. Just take the filter out and inspect it to make sure it has no tears or holes. You could clean it in solvent or diesel or something.
If it looks really dirty, or if it has a rip in it, get a new one.
You can get them from dennis kirk

I see that thing has no air box. That is pretty cool. Is the carb tuned to run without one? I'd hope so, haha
