It has 22 inch stock tires for a honda 250 Recon on it now I think. Anyway, they are to grabby and have to much roll in the corners, the machine doesnt want to get loose enough to make good slides, instead the tires rolls under a little bit and begins "2 wheeling" me and machine. I was considering dropping to a 20" inch tire instead. I will post my gearing tommorow because I dont know if it is stock or not. I dont mind loosing some top-end for more bottom as I stay in the woods and trails mainly with only occasional weekend sand riding (but i plan on getting some paddles for that). I dont want a mud tire though, something more performace oriented.

Edit: I have stock 9 inch rims.

If it was me I would look on ebay and buy a pair of take off's from a 400EX or 450R, rims and tires. I plan on getting a 350X someday and that's what I'm going to do.

A set of 20'' turf tamers or some Razrs would be good.

I have 20" 6 ply carisle badlands for my Tecate and they break loose with ease, even with my 4 over swing arm and my axle spacers. The 6 ply allows for less sidewall flex and all the kinetic energy is transfered to the ground instead of the side wall. Razers I hear are awesome along with turf tamers (except I hear they wear fast) I belive the holeshots are better in a wet enviorment becuase they have a little more side wall flex and it cleans the tread out more effeciently.

I totally agree. Stock 400ex tires are perfect for the 350X!!! Slide great and good forward traction.

20" Holeshots have always worked well for me!

400ex tires are not that great, they spin too much... bandit dirt tires hook up alot better and i think they are cheaper

20" kenda vipers, kenda klaws, holeshots or razrs, turf tamers are all good tires

I run the 20" OHTUS MR501 Radials on my 350X, I think they are killer. They were the stock 300ex tire. (I do have a set of Sand Skate IIs also, for when sand is on the menu :) )

kenda sucks.

holeshots are good, but wear way too fast. razr & shredder are good, razr's last a bit longer. If you want the best all around and cheapest go with Turf tamers. Also fast trekkers are good.

For a great all around tire that you can flip the other way for use in sand I'd rercommend the Maxxis All Trak. Heck of a tire! Wears like iron and nice beefy tread. 2 ply that seems like a 6 ply.......very strong tire.

This is a 22X11x8. You can get that size for around 50 bucks.

For trail riding I'd stick with 22's reguarding the ground clearence.

I'll make a note of that. I wasnt sure, I know that they are aftermarket sprockets so I thought maybe they had been changed.
